Do I need a partner to take classes?

No, all our classes are taught in a social dance format.  That means that all students will rotate partners during the lesson and get a chance to meet and dance with all the other students.  Almost every class is a mix of singles and couples.

What if I've never danced before?

No problem.  At some point, every dancer out there had never danced before.  We believe everyone has the potential to be a great dancer and that being a great dancer is a function of practice, persistence, and passion rather than natural ability.

What should I wear?

Clothes.  We encourage you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in.  More important than what you wear is how you smell.  Deodorant, toothpaste, and breath mints are the most essential accessories for any dancer.
We recommend comfortable flat shoes both for men and women, and recommend either leather or suede soled shoes, rubber soles are not conducive to dancing.  If you do not have shoes like this, you can dance in socks or wear tennis shoes with either duct tape or peds on the bottoms.  Feel free to contact us if you have any shoes questions.
